Photographing a Bar/Bat Mitzvah presents unique challenges to your photographer. Will the ceremony and the party be on the same day or on different days? What are the temple’s restrictions on the Sabbath?
Will we be recreating the ceremony? Will we be coordinating the recreation with the rabbi or cantor as participants? It is important to plan ahead to ensure that we can photograph the undressing of the Torah, reading with the yad, the Bar/Bat Mitzvah boy or girl holding the Torah, and the family, together on the bimah.
